Hybrids

The hybridization of the vehicles is a game changing technology because it offers the mobility of ICE and flexibility of the electrical transmission. The hybrid technology allows also beneficial interaction between the two energy sources – batteries and ICE. They complement each other in multiple ways:

  • If no time for the battery recharging, the vehicle is still ready for your emergency trip.
  • Too cold – no problem the engine will energize your car.
  • In the mid of the way the gas tank is empty, do not blame yourself – the battery will back you up.
  • You spend too much for gas – just use electrical mode when you drive in the city and switch to engine mode on the highway. Then, if possible recharge the batteries plugging in the free of charge public grid.

The CoAxial engine allows vehicles hybridization to be realized in a most easy and natural way. The stator of the electrical machine is installed in the CoAxial engine casing and the rotor is attached to the main transforming cam. In this way the integrated electrical machine is output device if it works as a generator. Alternatively, the integrated electrical machine can be used also as starting motor for the CoAxial engine and thus no need of extra one. Furthermore, the above-mentioned integration provides cost savings since the electrical machine do not need its own casing and bearing – the CoAxial engine just shelters the electrical machine. Below, it is shown just a couple of examples representing the mutual beneficial cooperation between the CoAxial engine and an integraed electrical machine.
