Background

The cam mechanism has been fighting to find his place in the world of ICEs from long time ago. It caught the attention of the engine designers because the cam engines pistons can move with less restrictions. No more concerns about the critical relations between the lengths of the conrod and crank. The cam engines design is simpler and provides more power per unit weight and size. At the same time the cam engines propagation is hindered by the disadvantages indicated below.

The engine was designed, built and tested in 1995. A dissertation was dedicated on the thermodynamic and mechanical phenomena of the cam-axial engines. Since then a lot of improvements were implemented in the engine design that our company adopted and will be implemented in our market products.
